About me...
I've been involved with beads somehow since I was a young child. I remember
getting kits in the mail in the early 60's from groups raising money for
"Indians". They would send out little paper looms, a needle,
some thread and some beads. I made a few bookmarks and belts for dolls
and some stuff in day camp, but it wasn't until many years later that
I discovered Lampworking (1995) and found out how much fun working with
beads could REALLY be! I've done a lot of things in my life and this is
something I really enjoy. I've found that trying to "make a living"
doing a job I hate doesn't make for living at all, so I've created a life
for myself based on bringing the beauty of Universe to you in my little
glass and fiber creations.
I've been fortunate to have taken classes with Kate Fowle, Patti Walton,
Jim Smirchich, Kimberly Affleck and Tink Martin. I am a member of SRA (Self Representing Artists) which means that I make my beads and jewelry myself- no imports. |
